 Westwood Consulting

Westwood Consulting is my family business for consulting opportunities, board positions and investments. After working at Dimension Data, now NTT, many may know me from my 25 years with that organisation. I am now enjoying my new career advising other business owners on how to build amazing and successful businesses.

If you want to discuss an opportunity, please fill in the contact form below.

I also plan to share some content from my many years of experience leading teams to success in the hope it may assist you in building your own business. The key tenets of my thoughts are below for your consideration and I hope you enjoy my blogs.

Core Philosophies

People & Culture

People and culture is at the heart of all we do.  Great companies build an environment to support engaged workforces. I believe there isn’t a need for a lot of managers, if we hire the right people they will be self sufficient. The role of management then turn from micro-management to providing direction and some boundaries and let them work.

Customer Centricity

The customer is the focus of all our efforts. Once you have a great team, it is the way you treat your customers that will ensure your success. As Gandhi once said “A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption of our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider of our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so

Organisational Discipline

Discipline in an organisation is vital to ensure customers needs are delivered upon regularly. This requires systems that enables consistency in following up and the right culture to use those systems without the need for autocratic management processes. From my experience growing a business from $200m to $1.4 billion, the combination of the right people and culture, a customer focus approach and internal discipline is the key to long term growth.
